Raja Agung

Sarkara Adi  delivers the ethnic or traditional songs in Java, the new creations of songs and musical poems in Java styles. The song of Raja Agung is a kind of  musical devotion to  Christ, created by YB Sukodi from Kalasan Yogyakarta. It was published, at first in Javanese praise book of Kidung Adi 1980 with the title of  NATA AGUNG, and it was translated by PML and Komisi Musik Liturgi in Indonesian verse Raja Agung, published in Madah Bakti (1980) and Puji  Syukur (1992)/ This verse may be translated to another languages  Now Nata Agung or Raja Agung becomes the favorite song of Kristus Raja Church Solo Baru especially for Paguyuban Karawitan Gita Adi, Keroncong Nada Kasih and Kentrung Silo Laras. They use the gamelan ( pelog mode), keroncong, kentrung or the electric organ to perform the song.
